Don't forget to take the time to enjoy the Strawberry Moon that is due to appear on Friday, June 13th.. Go out for a few minutes and take in the beautiful sights of the night. This will be the last time that the Strawberry Moon will fall on a Friday and the 13th of the month until 2049. I think I better make sure I'm out there to take it all in on Friday because I really don't thing I'll be around the next time is shows itself in the same venue! LOL! ~ Doreen ~

 

My vacation has officially begun!!!! I'm heading to Upstate New York next week to visit with my little granddaughter Isabella Grace who will be having her third birthday party while I'm there. I so excited that I can be with her for her birthday. For the next two weeks I'm going to get some well needed rest and relaxation. My husband and I are going to enjoy the time off. ~ Doreen ~

Thought I would share the artwork of one of my favorite artists. Her name is Susan Wheeler. I came across some of her work on Pinterest. For some reason the cuteness of it all bring about a sense of hominess to me. I can so relate to the feelings that come when I see these images. They take me to places that are so nice to visit. The images seem to share some of my emotions. Take a look at this image for instance. It brings to mind a cozy carefree mid summer's night. I can just envision in my hearts mind all the night sounds streaming in the window along with the moon beams and cool summer's night breeze as you can see the valance on the window gently blowing. I just love it! It all speaks to the child that lives in this 57 year old heart of mine.

Isn't this just beautiful???? I think it would make a gorgeous centerpiece for a summer girlfriends luncheon!

Ok girlfriends....I know you all know where I'm coming from when I tell you....."You know what kind of day you're going to have when it starts with a struggle just to put your bra on in the morning!" That's where I'm at today! Question to self....do I finish getting dressed or do I just take it all off and go back to bed? LOL! Happy Thursday girlfriends!

   Well, here I am making my first post! I'm a little nervous yet excited at the same time! Funny how you can have two emotions going on at the same time, don't you think? It's like when people say they've experienced something or an event which was "bittersweet". I can totally understand being sad yet have the feeling of being happy mixed in there at the same time. I know the "professionals" tell you it's impossible to have two emotions at the same time...but do you know what???? I don't care what they say...I listen to my heart. For years it's been leading me in the right direction. So, with that said...here I am, writing my first blog post on my new blog!
   I'm hoping to get to meet a lot of wonderful people through this blog and have the chance to share some of the things in life that we all seem to experience but for some reason....don't take the time to share them with others. You might even find while visiting here on my blog your interested in things going on which you never thought you'd be interested in! You never know...never say never, my mother used to say.
